Character Analysis

The main character of "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry"   is Cassie. The story is being told from her perspective and she is the one who we can connect with the most because we can understand what she is feeling. The supporting characters are Little Man , Stacey, and Christopher John because they are also a big part of the story.  They wouldn't have gone to the Wallace store if it weren't for Stacey. T.J. is also considered a supporting character because he is the one who is getting either him or Stacey in trouble. Cassie begins as irritated. She is irritated by her mom and Big Ma because they made her wear nice clothes and shoes. She didn't like the itcheness and tightness in the collar of the dress. Now, she is irritated at the kkk because  they burned the Berrys alive.
